Drawings

My first love was always figure drawing. Drawing from the model in my first drawing classes as a high school student opened up a whole new world for me. I went from wanting to be a fashion illustrator to wanting to learn it all. Now, as a working artist, these skills remain important, but can be so under used in the daily grind of assignments, deadlines, etc. I have had to make a concerted effort to involve myself in classes, drawing groups, etc to keep my hand in. Unfortunately, that is not always easy! I have recently started drawing again with a group that meets weekly. The models vary from week to week, different themes, etc. It is a lot of fun, though I am a bit rusty! I also want to try to find a group specifically for life drawing as well.

Anyway, I have decided to cast my charcoal and strathmore to the wind and post some drawings here and there.
